Messing around

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

I'm playing with flickr as well as this blog site to see what I can create.  It's keeping me sitting still for a time which is astounding, but not all good. You see, while I'm sure the masses are thrilled to see me still, the chaos around me remains motionless as well.  I must move in order to see change in it!

For now, it's time to be done playing around and go to bed. Johnny English, Hunt for the Red October, oh what will I watch?

(Can anyone tell me what to do with myMooMus down there, and perhaps also let me in on the secret of my flickr photos not being photos but rather a repeat of the pic thats at the top of my chosen background for my blog? Thats what I see under "Flickr Photos".  Help?!?!)

Kids…

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

James (4) comes wandering into the kitchen tonight.

"mommy, I want come cake"

"sorry baby, we don't have any cake"

a few moments later...

"cookies?"

"nope, no cookies either."

"there must be SOMETHING to eat!"

without cake and cookies there is simply nothing to eat.  My poor child is going to starve considering how infrequently we have either cake OR cookies!

a few minutes later he's ordering his sister to eat her strawberries so she can come and play with him. Ok, the whole story....

she (Brianna, 10, spina bifida and prader willi syndrome) gets bladder infections all too frequently. So long as I keep her on cranberry  daily we can keep them at bay. So each night at bedtime she has applesauce with a couple cranberry capsules pulled apart and mixed in.  This, her cranberry laced applesauce, was the strawberries she was being ordered to eat.  What he lacks in facts her certainly makes up for.

His hissy fit over not being allowed to play zelda on the game cube  changed to sleep so quickly it would make my head spin if i wasn't too tired to do so.

One more day down... six more to go!

Lonely

My hubbie is away for 9 days.  Well, not nine anymore. He'll be back at 4 am next Sunday. I miss him! He's in Mississippi helping do some rebuilding.  Awesome reason to leave home but I sure do miss him.

We saw some new birds today - anyone new to *me* will soon learn my passion is photography and two of my best subjects are my children and *my* birds.  Today we met, for only the second time, cedar waxwings. They are so pretty and sound nice too. We're learning to attract them and hoping we can keep them around; they eat lots of insects! I'll put up a picture when I can make it work. :)

Guess I'll try to accomplish something.  I'm really restless and not getting a lot done at any one time these days.  I can't get things done when he's home, but now that he's gone I'm not getting stuff accomplished either. Whats up with that?
