My day

I had forgotten completely that grads wore stoles (who thought up that name?) and then I found out that not only do they wear them... but the school insists they the grad pics all look like. She actually told me that it would be unfair to the other students if Bens pic was different. Whatever! So. Today i had to create a stole. No pattern, and certainly no CLUE. I bought white material and looked up my friend/photographers website in hopes she had some grad pics for this area. She did. (she lives too far away to be of help on such short notice). So, I had a clue what sort of stole to create. And... I did it. I did not have fun. I didnt even remotely enjoy myself. But... I did it. It took ALL freakin afternoon of my suposed to be day of rest Sunday. I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off instead. In the morning I have to run to walmart and print pics for Ben to take to school and at 11 the OT is coming re James. AFter he leaves............ the day is MINE! I hope. I may have to take hubbie to work. And katie to youth. Tues I have to get up at 6. Wednesday too. Are we having fun yet?

So. Thats my day. I have 13 hrs to clean up the house, go to town tp print pics, eat, sleep and breath somewhere in there too. I will likely not be here until after I have recovered. :) I took some pics of the rest of my crew today too. i'll share them eventually. Kinda like that recipe i am supposed to be blogging... I will get to it. Honest!

Your school doesn’t provide these things for the kids to wear??? That is very wierd. Here they just had to sign them out and bring them back. Much easier…I would NEVER had done what you did!!

I too am surprised that the school doesn’t provide that. So many things have changed since I went to school. I was shocked to see the list of supplies parents had to buy their children at the beginning of the year. Even more shocking was that Kleenex was on the list. C’mon! What do the schools provide … the teachers?

Your story about making the stole reminded me of my mother. She made me a slip for a choral gown once because we couldn’t find a long one. Mothers are amazing. You know, I bet Ben remembers that for years to come.

Don’t wear yourself out, girl. Don’t make me come there and duct tape you to a chair so you can take a nap.

    Love you!
