Well, I was going to do more pics but again my blog isn't cooperating so, on this note I guess I will say goodnight. Bat boy is asleep and so is the butterfly. Maybe tomorrow I can share some more. :)

Goodnight all, no tummy aches please!

There are so many people I can say I "once knew". I've been thinking about this last night and thinking how many names I could say I have once known, even once called friend. so many kids I went to school with. Folks I knew at churches I have attended, even friends I met online. a few of them have "stories" of why I no longer really know them but most of them really don't. For the most part it's a matter of time, distance, lack of contact, many things. And yet with many of these folks when I do see them I can pick up and have a friendly relationship for the period of time that I am with them. It's interesting that way. I guess the history glues together the fabric of relationship to some degree! Others, I can't see spending time with, but those are mostly the ones that I "once knew" but never really liked. The boys that picked on me maybe? LOL

And thats what there is to say about the people I once knew. And now I have to get moving on my saturday - so much to do and I want to spend some time doing nothing too!

scholastic

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

I remember the scholastic book club as a kid. I spent all my birthday money, christmas money and any other money I could get on scholastic books. LOVED it. Well, I still do. Last night at the homeschool moms meeting I came home with scholastic book club orders. I went through the first set - which have to be in by Oct 22 - and wrote down only the things I HAD to have.

$73.

yeah. Guess I gotta get writing for the Gleaner and earn some cash! LOL

so pretty

I love the beauty of fall. And quite honestly, while I'm a pig (or bambi) on ice and I hate being cold, winter can be rather beautiful too. I look forward to being warmer this winter and thus am not dreading it like I used to. I DO rather get discouraged with the amount of time it takes to get kid dressed to play outside (for 10 minutes of play!) but... there is a beauty to freshly fallen snow, to ice in the sun, to snow days when we're all stuck at home. Unfortunately for my children that doesn't mean no 'school', they learn every day no matter the weather. :)

I particularly found this tree beautiful as it sits in the midst of green with all it's colour. I, too, want to stand out and show my colour to the world!

just almost airborne to catch that toy! Oh she loves to play and is SO much fun.

Now it's time for me to end this day and go to BED. (past time but thats beside the point haha)

Very out of sorts. Well, not so much out of sorts. Subdued is a better word I think. it was a really rough day. From a minor problem with people not putting dishes away in the proper places to being down to one vehicle and hubbie working tomorrow - AND Bria having her eye apt tomorrow. oh, and then the issue with a lady from church who took offense to the minute it took kate to get to the car when she picked her up and the ensuing discussion - resulting in her no longer taking Kate to youth for me. It's not a big issue, getting here there was never the biggest problem, but some of the words spewed at me today were a little out there.

Then Camryn threw her lunch in the garbage and told me she ate it. Since I knew she couldn't possibly have eaten it in the 30 seconds I was away from the table I looked and sure enough. Mixed in with old sour cream and all sorts of good stuff! Good thing she's little and cute, I mighta made her eat it anyways. (KIDDING!) While I'm not looking, after she's probably hungry cuz she didn't eat much of her lunch, she decides to munch down a pumpkin scented candle. I wonder if they taste as good as they smell? She seemed to think so. She didn't get too much eaten before James caught on to what she was doing and alerted me to the fact that her chewing was NOT on an apple as I thought. I'd tell you the tail feathers also got ripped off katie's turkey, but I'd have to tell you it was only paper....

Camryn's middle name is Jade. it's SO appropriate. I once knew another little girl who's middle name was Jade and I swear, Camryn is her clone.

I did get J's green playdough made today and tomorrow I have "off". Excepting I have to get up and take Mark to work and Ben to school so no sleeping in for me. Hopefully still some work done, tho Bria has an eye apt at 3 and Ben is done school sometimes as early as 3:15 on Tuesdays. he may have to wait a bit. He doesn't care. Good thing! Tomorrow evening we have an apt to get keyley's nails clipped. She's a wiener dog. Really. Yeah I know she looks like a greyhound but trust me, she's a wiener! lol. The groomer picked up her foot and put the gadget toward her and she whimpered and pulled her foot away. Tomorrow evening ought to be fun. i think I'll send Katie and Mark!

I found some awesome scented candles at Mardens for .99. I wish I could share the scent with you. Unfortunately I can't place it for the life of me. The tin only says "scented wax candle". Brilliant. Even *I* knew that.

I was planning on going on a HS outing (with the kids of course) on Thursday. Now.. 'd have to have Mark at work and us back into town in no time. Then go get him - after dark when I'm not supposed to drive. I sense no outing coming up.

Well, I think I'm written out for now. It's been a long time since I wrote much of anything. Now I'm going to clean the kitchen and light my "scented wax candle".

Later days
